Payper Packaging: reduce, reuse, recycle
In its
conception and design of the packaging, Payper operates against the trend.
Although it is difficult to eliminate the amount of waste in the clothing
industry, Payper is committed daily and
concretely in the search for effective and sustainable solutions, aimed at consciously reducing the impact on the environment. In
recent years, in fact, the use of innovative technologies has increased,
allowing the use of plastic packaging to be significantly reduced.
Payper's
approach is proving increasingly sustainable. The primary and secondary
packaging placed on the market mainly concerns paper, cardboard and plastic
based on the type and functionality of the items. With a view to continuous
improvement, however, the use of
eco-sustainable packaging is preferred, especially cardboard, a material that
lends itself well to reuse when composing orders. In fact, 84% of the cartons that arrived at our plant in 2023 were then
used for re-packing.
This
change of course took place in 2024, when starting the production of PAYPER
PLUS gloves, for which 100%
paper and cardboard packaging (plastic
free) was chosen. The gloves, in fact, have been proposed to the market with a
head card, which is in turn contained in a display box. Finally, the latter are
transported inside a cardboard, closed with "EcoHIT19" adhesive
tape, made with films containing at least 85% post-consumer recycled
material. An important initiative, which stands as a starting point for future sustainable
production. The objective is therefore not only to encourage packaging
that is easily recyclable or has less environmental impact, but also to
reuse it, to prevent the excessive generation of waste.

From
the perspective of a more responsible
management, Payper intends to reduce
the use of plastic packaging. For this reason, when necessary, it is
preferable to pack the items in a single polybag. The objective to be achieved
over the coming years is therefore to package our products in cardboard or
recycled plastic.
