Our sustainable impact
New energy for the future
Our
commitment focuses on finding
innovative solutions aimed at gradually increasing the positive impacts on the
environment. In fact, each of our choices
derives from a careful analysis of the risks and benefits related to it.
Although
the Group is not directly involved in the manufacturing process of the
products, we are committed to making
the entire value chain efficient,
studying solutions that concretely reduce environmental impacts both upstream
and downstream of the production process.
For
this reason, starting from 2023, we have developed the calculation process to
quantify Scope 3 emissions, concerning the indirect emissions generated by activities outside the
direct control of the organisation, but associated with our activities. The
latter include emissions related to the production and transport of the
materials used to manufacture the products, as well as emissions resulting from
their use and disposal.
THE ANALYSIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS
IS ESSENTIAL TO ASSESS
THE ACTIVITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES
FOR IMPROVEMENT.

Energy consumption and emissions
Our
Group is actively committed to reducing
energy consumption and climate-changing emissions connected to the company's
directly managed activities.
During the design phase of the new company headquarters, in fact, we planned
the installation of a photovoltaic system, which in 2023 enabled
covering 37% of the company's electricity needs. Furthermore, to help reduce
greenhouse gas emissions and promote a positive environmental impact, the
company has chosen to exclusively purchase electricity from renewable
sources.
85% OF ELECTRICITY COMES
FROM CLEAN ENERGY.
The
most significant emissions mainly concern transport and distribution both
upstream and downstream. In this regard, research is underway aimed at
identifying means of transport and technologies capable of significantly
reducing the impact of our production.
Sustainable packaging management
All the products we place on the market are provided with specific primary and secondary packaging, according to their type and purpose. Among these, paper and cardboard, plastic and wood are relevant. Over time, we have implemented various initiatives in order to reduce the impacts linked to the consumption of materials and the generation of packaging waste. In particular, cardboard packaging is reused until a minimum tolerable quality threshold is reached and the use of plastic bags has been significantly reduced by packing more items inside the same polybag.
84% OF THE CARTONS WERE REUSED FOR RE-PACKING
Our
goal is to package 100% of our products with sustainably managed paper and
recycled plastic polybags.
Finally,
we are working so that each item can be accompanied by a Digital Passport.
