Ultralite Pad: lightweight and enveloping padding

For those who want a lightweight jacket, which allows excellent freedom of movement and the right amount of warmth, Payper has designed the innovative Ultralite padding. It is the combination of a 2-layer soft-shell fabric with a layer of synthetic fibre, compact but lightweight, and a thin inner lining.

This special union has led to the birth of the new functional and versatile jackets, perfect to wear in any weather, from the first cold weather in autumn to the first warm days of spring.

What differentiates the Ultralite Pad Soft-shell from the classic Pad Soft-shell?

Like the Pad Soft-shells, the Ultralite Pads also have an external water-resistant and elastic technical fabric, enriched by an internal membrane that ensures excellent breathability. As the latter have been designed for mild temperatures, they lack the typical microfleece inner layer. The original padding that characterises Ultralite Pads, only 100g/m2 instead of 160g/m2, has a reduced sector design, but with a good degree of thermal insulation. These measures allow much lighter and more practical jackets.

What do padded soft-shells have in common with soft-shells with light padding?

The different construction does not affect the main technical performances, in fact the WP (the resistance to water penetration) and WVT (breathability) values remain unchanged.

Likewise, the elasticity of the external fabric and of the garment as a whole does not vary. The greater lightness, in fact, facilitates the wearer’s movements and helps to exploit the potential flexibility of the external fabric.

The first items of the Ultralite Pad collection.

This new proposal debuts with the revisitation of the CREEK PAD, one of the flagship soft-shell pads in the Payper catalogue, which becomes CREEK PAD ULTRALITE. The style of the details and accessories that compose it remains unchanged but the fit is slightly revised to re-adapt the overall shape to the lightweight padding.

We also have the CREEK PAD VEST ULTRALITE, i.e. the vest version, for those looking for additional freedom of movement in indoor and outdoor environments.
