RECYCLE! THE RIGHT WAY
Environmental labelling: recycling is the first step to protect the planet
We are all are active protagonists of this
important change and our company, which has always been attentive to issues
concerning sustainability,
is ready to provide its Customers with the necessary tools to easily identify the correct way to
dispose of any type of waste, transforming it into a
sustainable resource.
Materials can, in fact, take on new forms, have
a new life, significantly reducing waste and promoting a positive environmental impact.
Our commitment to an informed
separate waste collection, also passes through the
desire to design
increasingly sustainable packaging with a low environmental impact.
However, we are aware that this farsighted
project takes time and that in the meantime we must pay the utmost attention to
the materials in circulation, in compliance with the new regulations. On 11th
September 2020, in fact, legislative decree 116/2020, transposing EU directive
2018/851 on waste, and directive 2018/852 on packaging and packaging waste,
which establishes the obligation to place the identification code of the
material on all packaging in accordance with the indications of Decision
129/97/EC, came into force.
Our company has started to take the first steps
in terms of waste
management and we will go on to do much more in order to
totally fulfil our obligations. As a starting point, we have created a useful
and easy-to-consult digital tool to support consumers and our Customers
to properly dispose
of our packaging.
Recycle! The right way is
the tool that allows us to provide our users with information on the nature and final destination of our
packaging. Simply frame the QR code located on the transport
documents to know how to correctly separate the relevant materials. We will
provide useful tips to allow everyone to carry out correct waste sorting. However,
we invite you to refer
to the provisions of your municipality, in order to be sure
to differentiate
correctly.
HOW TO DISPOSE OF OUR PACKAGING
All our products are provided with different types of packaging and, therefore, must be placed in the appropriate containers. The list of the main materials used for our packaging is detailed below, divided by category: neutral packaging, paper collection and plastic collection.
NEUTRAL PACKAGING
HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE
TRANSPORT PACKAGING
By neutral
packaging we mean unprinted packaging which
does not envisage any graphics or the affixing of any symbols and information
and that is generally aimed at the B2B market. The procedure to fulfil this
obligation may differ, but this type of packaging is not exempt.
In fact, the composition material of the
packaging must be disclosed by means of transport documents accompanying the goods, or on other
external medias, including digital ones.
The packaging used by Payper for transport includes: wooden packaging, cardboard, cable ties.
Wooden packaging, especially if intact, should
be reused if and where possible. If this is not possible, it must be disposed
of at the waste sorting area of your municipality. This packaging certainly
includes pallets and crates.
PAPER AND CARDBOARD COLLECTION
HOW TO MAKE A
DIFFERENCE
There are different types of “paper”, which are
distinguished according to their weight. The difference that exists
between paper,
cardboard or corrugated cardboard does not prevent our
materials from being sorted and placed into the appropriate paper container.
Our packaging for these containers therefore
consists of:
1) Large box containing items packed individually
or in groups of five + Cardboard
2) Box containing Base-layer items;
3) Main tags;
4) Secondary tags: Dry Tech, Lock System,
soft-shell, ruler pocket;
5) Inner-card: tag summarising the information
concerning the garment;
6) Information note: instruction booklet in
various languages.
The following can also be recycled and
appropriately placed into the
paper bins: shirt cardboard forms, tissue paper to cover
buttons or sweaters, as well as that placed inside the garment and the stickers
used for boxes and bags, even if in plastic-coated paper, as this contains a
quantity of plastic lower than that envisaged by the standard.
PLASTIC COLLECTION
YOU CAN REUSE IT
The polymers used for manufacturing plastic packaging are
many and are destined to increase, thanks to technological evolution. For this
reason, there are different acronyms to identify the specificity of the
material used for our packaging.
Specifically, the following plastic films fall
into this type:
1) LDPE 4: Neutral plastic bag or customised with Payper logo;
2) PP 5: Neutral plastic bag;
3) PVC 3: Neutral plastic bag;
4) LDPE 4: Small plastic bag used for spare buttons;
5) LDPE 4: Small plastic bag for storing brochures;
6) PP 5: Adhesive tape to close Payper carton;
7) Plastic collar reinforcements, clips, collar stays.
Environmental sustainability is a central theme for our company and for all those who are part of it. For this reason, we have set ourselves a double goal, certainly ambitious but achievable: to make our packaging increasingly sustainable and to promote, within our community, greater awareness on the subject, as the gesture of each one of us can contribute to significantly reduce the impact on the environment. Waste sorting is an act of generosity towards the planet, but knowing how to do it is what allows us to really save it.
