CORPORATE PRINCIPLES AND PROCESSES

Industrial Wear's Integrated Policy for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety at Work represents the company's commitment to the constant improvement of its performance, both in terms of the quality of the products and services supplied to the customer and in terms of protection of the environment and of the health and safety of its workers. The adoption of an Integrated Management System (IMS) allows to fully and consistently meet customer expectations, to significantly affect the reduction of environmental impact and to minimise occupational risks. Industrial Wear Srl sought to pursue a certification process through the TÜV SÜD brand, which guarantees the efficacy of the Integrated Management System (IMS) by applying the main international standards to the entire assessment procedure.

The company has also made the decision to implement a Social Accountability Management System in order to obtain the certification in accordance with the SA8000 standard, an international standard which defines the requirements for an ethically correct behaviour by companies towards their workers.

Aware of its role and responsibilities within the economic and social community in which it operates, it sets itself the goal of improving the organisation's overall performance and capabilities, as well as of proposing itself as an element of excellence with regard to its social responsibility.

The determination in pursuing this objective of general improvement has resulted in achieving the following important certifications:

Industrial Wear, which has always been attentive to the issues of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, was assessed to be compliant with UNI/PdR 125:2022 and has obtained the certification issued to companies that undertake to promote and safeguard gender equality in the workplace, to increase opportunities for professional growth, as well as to reduce the "gender pay gap". It encourages the creation of a socially sustainable working environment and of a diversified and inclusive organisational culture both within the organisation and towards stakeholders.

It aims to promote and introduce ethical values when pursuing business activities. The score awarded is between a minimum of one star and a maximum of three, for companies that meet all the requirements.

SATRA is an independent research and testing organisation established in the United Kingdom in 1919. Having become a notified body according to various British and European directives and regulations, today it is a leading technical testing authority for personal protective equipment (PPE), and footwear and leather articles in particular. Members of SATRA have exclusive access to its testing methods and research, consultancy, technical training and accreditation. Industrial Wear’s membership of SATRA is confirmation of its desire to guarantee high standards of quality.

Since 2019 Industrial Wear has been a member of UNI, the Italian National Unification Body. The main suppliers of Industrial Wear produce with OEKO-TEX® (International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile and Leather Ecology) certified materials. STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is an internationally independent control and certification system for raw materials, semi-finished and finished products in the textile industry at every processing level, as well as for the accessory materials used. The main purpose of STANDARD 100 is to ensure the absence of substances harmful to health in products, by means of demanding verification criteria, limit values and scientifically based test methods. In-depth audits of certified products and regular company audits raise the awareness of industries on the responsible use of chemicals, in the long term and on a global scale.
